A Unique Venue
The Great House is a 15th century grade II listed building which has been lovingly restored over the past few decades, retaining a wealth of it's original features. This splendid house is believed to have been a gift from HRH Queen Elizabeth I to the Earl of Leicester and has, much recently, been purchased by Sanjeev Bhagotra & Elinor Roberts (pictured alongside).
The sympathetic restoration has provided beautiful hotel accommodation in the main house and courtside suites, holds a cosy bar area filled with character and is also home to the award winning Restaurant Tommy Heaney which serves regularly changing menus focused on local seasonal ingredients in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
You will be sure to receive a warm welcome from our friendly and knowledgeable team whether you are staying with us or joining us for a drink or a meal.
Each season is unique
Spring breathes new life into the garden whilst Summer invites you to take drinks or enjoy afternoon tea on the patio, Autumn & Winter entice you to sit alongside our cosy fires to enjoy a drink or two.
Whatever your reason for visiting South Wales whether it for the natural beauty, business, golf, stunning walks or just a well-earned break, The Great House is the perfect place for residents and non-residents alike to relax and be taken care of.
